For all you fashionistas out there, Dolce & Gabbana have revamped and re-launched their Youtube channel in their bid to embrace the digital world and I think they have done rather a good job of it.
A great deal of thought has obviously gone into the channel. Rather than just a group of commercials, there are whole sections about the company’s history, collections and advice on how to wear their clothes.
I’ve been having a look at the site this morning and found myself drawn in to their lovingly put-together pieces. The film about jewellery-making was all candles and over the top items but totally engaging!
And there are also interviews with aspirational role-models like Maxi Lopez, the Argentinian striker who plays for Milan:
With over 11 million hits already, I think this is a really good example of a brand intelligently connecting with its consumers and I expect they will make a few converts along the way.
I’d better start saving now for the tomato print “must-have” new suit with its romper pants which features prominently.
